Septic To Sewer Staten Island
What is involved.

The DDC has begun installing sewers in some areas in Staten Island. The areas are highlighted in green at the bottom of this page. Pentagon Plumbing has been converting septic to sewers in Staten Island since the work has begun.

You may have many questions regarding this procedure and on the following page we will help to clear up any misconceptions you might have.

When you call us we will send our estimator out. He will look at your property and give you the price for the job. Each property is different, your neighbor may be less or more expensive depending on the house layout and the position of your current septic tank. Our estimator will explain the job to you.

Plumbers have been cutting corners on these jobs and you as the homeowner need to hire a reliable licensed master plumber. Ask the plumber for references insist on septic to sewer customers.
(hopefully your job isn't his first) you should try and get more than a few.

One common practice on Staten Island is the use of dirt as fill. When dirt is used as fill voids are created, (air pockets) over time these voids fill in and what happens is the top of your property whether it is dirt, concrete, blacktop, or grass will collapse forming a sink hole.
